Climate Change Is A Scam And You'll Be Paying For It

The mass hysteria called climate change is a fraud conducted on the world by journalists and politicians with no scientific knowledge but a great deal of knowledge on running scare campaigns.

According to Professor Bob Carter, researcher at James Cook University Marine Geophysical Laboratory, emininently more qualified to make judgement on the issue than any politician, "the accepted global average temperature statistics used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change show that no ground-based warming has occurred since 1998..... this eight-year-long temperature stasis has occurred despite an increase over the same period of 15 parts per million (or 4 per cent) in atmospheric CO2.

He also says ".., lower atmosphere satellite-based temperature measurements, if corrected for non-greenhouse influences such as El Nino events and large volcanic eruptions, show little if any global warming since 1979, a period over which atmospheric CO2 has increased by 55 ppm (17 per cent), and "...., there are strong indications from solar studies that Earth's current temperature stasis will be followed by climatic cooling over the next few decades."

Furthermore, a letter to the UN Secretary General, signed by 103 physicists, geologists and other academics, who, unlike our Government, actually knew what they were talking about, was released at the UN's December 2007 Bali conference beginning "It is not possible to stop climate change, a natural phenomenon that has affected humanity through the ages". One of the signatories was Professor Don Aitkin, President of the University of Canberra.

As further refutation of human-induced global warming, the Sunday Times on April 29, 2007 reported that Mars is warming and could lose its southern ice cap. Unless the Martians are heavily into gas-guzzling four wheel drives and coal fired power stations, does this not indicate that climate change, if it exists, is caused by natural forces?

Reuters on February 10, 2008 reported Afghanistan as experiencing one of its coldest winters in living memory.

The BBC on 10th March 2007 reported northern China was having its heaviest snow in almost 60 years.

The Sydney Morning Herald on July 20th, 2007 reported that the day before temperatures had fallen below zero at Coolangatta and Maroochydore for the first time in recorded history.

Up to the 1970s climate change hysteria pointed the other way. In his 1976 book The Cooling, Lowell Ponte, writer and journalist wrote: "This cooling has already killed hundreds of thousands of people. If it continues and no strong action is taken, it will cause world famine, world chaos and world war, and this could all come about before the year 2000."

One Nation would rather believe people of substance like Professor Bob Carter and Don Aitken than media hacks, economists and power hungry politicians with their own agenda, and is the only represented political party in Australia that will refuse to waste one cent of taxpayers' money on the fruitless exercise of carbon emissions trading.
