Will Julia Be Pelted With Eggs For Adopting One Nation Policy? 7/7/2010
Now that Labor and Liberal are posturing on boat people and trying to win votes over this contentious issue, are we going to see an apology to One Nation for the treatment it has received over this issue.?
One Nation has been attacked over the years and called racist and xenophobic. We simply asked for a debate on this issue whilst calling for sustainable immigration. We have been labeled by the main parties as divisive and blacked out by the media. We cannot get a say on this subject or any of our other policies.
Will there be protests by the masses of unwashed attacking the Labor government?
Will Julia Gillard be pelted with eggs and verbally abused?
I highly doubt it.
My question is : Is it now it is all okay for us to talk about these issues? Will the media allow us to show what we are really about and move forward? One can only hope.
Open Heart Surgery Needed To Fix Our Health System 1/7/2010
To say that there has been a lot of concern regarding our health system would certainly be an understatement. Our hospitals are in crisis, we are struggling to find doctors and the infrastructure is crumbling from lack of money and neglect.
Rural areas have been forgotten due to, what I believe, is the continal habit of supporting those who really take us for granted. Labor and Liberal continue to get the majority of votes even though it is they who are responsible for, in Wagga Wagga’s case, thirty years of broken promises.
The federal Liberal party cut billions from the health system and then Labor threw billions back at it only to be handled by a proven-incompetent State Government and to be absorbed in a massive bureaucracy who will squander the funds before they reach their needed destination. Not only that, but most of the money was borrowed, and, after we pay the interest, it will prove like most of the Labor parties previous decisions: very costly.
One Nation believes we need to have a massive rethink of our health services. Health needs to be universal and incorporate Hospital, GP, Dental, Mental health and aged care. We need regulation and control but at the same time we need less red tape and waste. We need a Medicare system that offers all Australians coverage from day one and it needs to be free. One Nation also supports preventative health and the addition of chiropractors and natural therapies to the Medicare system.
To achieve this health needs to be in 100% control of the Federal Government. Funding would then go directly to hospitals or small regions and be controlled by a hospital board made up from local doctors and staff. This would eliminate duplication and the massive Area Health groups that are absorbing the money before it reaches its destination. Then we need a national doctor and nursing training scheme to ensure that we have sufficient people to run the system. This could extend on to dentistry and other health areas and be linked to our universities. Add to this the fact that new doctors need to complete time in rural areas while in training and we help alleviate rural shortages.
We need a national pharmaceutical system to remove the greed driven system we currently have and ensure that the right medications are prescribed over those for personal gain. Australian research needs to be boosted to remove our reliance on foreign suppliers of drugs and new industries can be developed to export to other countries.
How shall we pay for this you may ask? One Nation supports a debit tax system which takes the pressure off individuals and places it back onto corporations and organisations like the banks and foreign owned chains, making them pay their way. The savings alone on red tape would be in the billions and the revenue would be up to three times our current GDP.
Basically our whole system can no longer survive with the band aid measures Labor and Liberal have been using. One Nation believes anything less than open heart surgery will ultimately be fatal for our whole country.
Concerns Over Apples From China Ignored 22/6/2010
After reading the article “Concerns over apples from China ignored” (Ben Glover June, 22 2010) I must say that I can relate to Mr. Ashton’s frustration at the lack of concern by the Australian Government. It seems that in their rush to embrace global free trade, Labor and Liberal have failed to consider the impact on Australian growers and the devastation it will wreak on small rural communities.
Globalization is now the policy of Australia’s main parties and human suffering is no concern of our politicians as they preach the benefits of global free trade. Even the Nationals will not oppose this insanity, even though they are supposed to represent the rural sector, but sadly usually bow to the pressure of their Liberal masters.
Free trade and globalism will spell the end of many of our small farmers and they will soon be replaced with massive foreign-owned food companies who will swoop in and buy the remnants of a once proud rural sector. With the help of cheap labor provided by Australia’s policy on foreign work visas, and soon-to-be open border policy with Asia, they will rape the land in the name of profit with much of the gains flowing off shore.
One Nation has been warning of this for over a decade. It is sad that due to the efforts of the major parties and their media cronies, our voice has been lost in the debate against free trade. If in a position of power, we would fight and reverse this trend as One Nation believes in small farming business and a strong Australian industry over foreign invasion.
I suppose in the end if rural voters continue to vote the same way they can expect more of this and their pleas to fall upon deaf ears. I can guarantee though that any major swing towards One Nation and our pro Australian policies would certainly make those in Canberra sit up and take notice of the "protest from the bush".
Watch Out For The Greens 8/6/2010
It seems that as a result of the Labor and Liberal parties being on the nose, voters are turning to the Greens in protest against the two main parties' incompetence and the contempt that they show towards the average voter. This is a dangerous shift of power and one that I feel will drive another nail in the coffin when it comes to Australia's future trade and prosperity.
If the Greens win the balance of power in the Senate, and Labor scrapes home with the Greens' preferences, we will see a situation where Labor will have the power to enact its Mining Tax and Emissions Trading Scheme. One could only imagine the massive damage and increases to the cost of living Australians will face if we were hit with that double whammy in Labor’s second term.
Further to that, the public can expect many more schemes such as the recent halt to red gum timber milling and more land being deemed off limits to agriculture and mining. We can also expect more water cuts for agriculture and farmers walking off the land. The Greens are anti-development and pro-welfare, so taxes will go up as fast as the unemployment rate and with more power, the Greens will look like the Labor left on steroids.
So I urge Riverina voters to consider your options carefully before you vote in the upcoming election. This will prevent future complaints about not being able to pay taxes or find a job, as it all will be shut down in the name of the environment, or converted to so called “green jobs” that are as effective as working for the dole.
Environmentalism - the New Religion 2/6/2010
Environmentalism seems to be positioning itself as a new religion amongst government and the academic world. Governments on all levels are clambering to spend millions on schemes and studies to fix the planet and policies are put in place at a drop of a hat. It seems however, that logic and common sense has gone out the window, and rather than practical ideas being implemented, complete industries are being shut down to win a few votes in metropolitan areas.
All levels of government are introducing policies and programmes to reduce carbon emissions and this is yet to be proven as the ultimate cause of so called global warming. Industries like our Red Gum logging is being shut down and we have groups like The Wentworth Group claiming we have to cut water usage by up to 65% in the Murrumbidgee area to facilitate higher flows into the Murray Darling Basin. Then we have the State Labor government passing legislation to stop farmers from developing their own land. This is insanity in its purest form.
We have many small communities that rely on agriculture and logging to survive. What will happen to these towns? Unemployment will lead to a major population shift to regional centres who lack the infrastructure to support them. We will have food shortages and we will have crime. It seems that rural Australia has been forgotten and all our politicians attention has been focused on mining and winning green votes.
One Nation believes in rural Australia and supports practical environmentalism. We support the diversion of water flows to ensure adequate supply for agriculture. We are pro farming and will fight to allow farmers the right to develop their own land. One Nation would also overturn any bans on logging and help develop the industry into a major exporter. Rather than cutting back on logging we should be doing more to develop sustainable timber production in hardwoods. We should move away from oil and produce our own ethanol fuels and bio-diesels. Furthermore, imports which are produced from the destruction of rain forests or natural resources should be banned and free trade abolished to slow the flow of mass produced consumer items from countries like China
Wagga’s Community Health Does Not Have a Dentist 29/5/2010
It has been brought to my attention that Wagga Wagga’s Community Health system does not have a dentist. Hundreds of people in our community are suffering due to a lack of a decent dental policy and those who rely on community programs, be they pensioners or unemployed, have to wait months in extreme pain and discomfort. Not only that but in some cases further complications can arise due to the poisoning of their bodies and this puts more pressure on the already struggling health system.
The Labor and Liberal parties have both promised reform in this area, and both have schemes that will help reduce this problem. But they have been fighting since 2008 and cannot come to agreement over which is the best way forward. Their pride and arrogance are getting in the way and are putting many through unnecessary pain and suffering as they need the problem fixed now! There was no help in the recent budget and a plan suggested by the Greens in May, to link dental health to Medicare, has been rubbished even though it does show merit.
It seems that there is plenty of money to go around for increasing foreign aid budgets and accommodating increases in immigration, but no more is available to fix a system which should be the basic right of every Australian. One Nation believes that rather than trying to win points on the global stage by buying favour with other countries, our politicians need to turn their attention back to Australia and concentrate on the problems we face here. It is sad to say, but when you look at the problems we face with health, dentistry, homelessness and crime on our streets. Australia is looking more and more like those countries Rudd and his cronies claim we need to help so much with our taxpayers' money.
Immigration 29/4/2010
Mass immigration will ultimately lead to a reduction in the quality of lifestyle in Australia. Workers will be subject to massive increases in taxation and pay much more for goods and services. We are already seeing the beginning of a whole new range of taxes and charges put in place to bring infrastructure to a position where it will handle a larger population. Electricity, roads, rail and health are some areas that will need a major overhaul and this will cost billions.
As people are aware, our federal and state governments are broke. Our state government continues to run out of money and struggles to pay for services. The federal government has wasted billions on environmental schemes and school infrastructure programmes. The money that has been wasted has been borrowed and we are already in debt to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Not only this, our federal government is paying billions more to accommodate the massive increase in boat people and housing them alone has cost an extra $600 million.
How are we going to feed these people? Our agriculture sector has been put under huge stresses through free trade and government red tape. Farmers have struggled with a decade long drought, yet Labor and Liberal have done nothing about fixing our water infrastructure. If Australia is to grow as rapidly as Kevin Rudd wants, we need to re divert water flows and build more catchment areas. Desalination plants are costly and inefficient but it seems that maybe NSW Labor knew what was coming and decided that they should build one. It is obvious that massive increases in immigration have been on the drawing board for decades.
Then there is housing. Prices are surely going to rise due to the massive increase in demand. Not only this, there will have to be an increase in public housing to assist the new working poor.
Ultimately who is going to pay for mass immigration? We can expect government debt to skyrocket to never seen levels and we can expect more red tape to be created to administer and control the system. We will have massive increases in imports of food and increases in the cost of food. There will be more poverty and homeless and less money to help them. Our health system will collapse and there will be no beds for the sick. There will be no nursing home places and I believe a major increase in crime.
What we need is a debate and a referendum on this issue. All immigration needs to be stopped until this is done and demonstrate to the public how we can accommodate this enormous change to the structure and character of our country.
The Federal Health Intervention 22/4/2010
According to polls the majority of Australians want to see Kevin Rudd's health plan initiated. Federal Labor want to take back 30% of GST and then contribute 60% of hospital funding.
Now I understand the public is sick of what is happening to our health system, but to support this plan is pure insanity. Rather than reviewing the whole health system and making drastic changes to how it is run and administered, Labor wants to throw more money at the problem. It seems that all the Rudd Government is good at is wasting taxpayers' money. Not only this but ultimately the State Governments are going to be in charge of where funding goes so really all we get is the same old incompetence and more money to waste.
The Health System is in dire need of a full shake up. I would have thought there may have been some consultation with doctors and hospital staff before any plan could be developed. Not only that, a full health plan should be developed including mental health, dentistry, health insurance policy, aged care and Medicare. It seems that this policy is being forced through before an upcoming election, more as a vote winner than anything of real substance.
While this is happening you have very little comment coming out of the Liberal camp, as they have no answers. Yet again we get the same thing from the two main parties as we always do in the form of finger pointing and cheap political point scoring.
One Nation believes we need a major health summit to including health professionals and all State health ministers. From this a new and more streamlined system can be developed which cuts red tape and duplication. We need to put the whole system under the microscope and rid ourselves of waste and a top heavy bureaucracy .If there is to be a federal takeover it needs to be a 100% takeover. This would leave no room for the blame game and the buck would stop with whoever is in control. It is time for common sense, not more debt for future Australians.
Craig Hesketh Will Stand for One Nation in Riverina 13/4/2010
I find it amazing that the federal Liberal Party has the gall to put forward a candidate in the Riverina for the upcoming 2010 election. Considering their history with the people of the Riverina they should be scared to show their face, but with their typical show of arrogance they will put forward a local supporter to possibly win them a few votes and maybe some more money for their burgeoning coffers.
Our farmers must be more bemused considering the Liberal party has given us such policies as the sale of Telstra, the removal of the Single Desk, free trade and mass food imports and, most of all, a general lack of spending on infrastructure. Add to this the fact that the Liberal Party cut health spending and wound back rural services at an alarming rate truly shows their contempt for country people.
The Nationals, who on occasions made weak protests to these absurd policies continue to support the Liberals even after their decision to stand against them. It is obvious the Nationals know where their bread is buttered and are willing to lose votes in the grand scheme to ensure a coalition win. I personally believe the Nationals have been sold out by their leadership who are more interested in their survival as a political party than representing country people. It is only a matter of time before they are swallowed up by the Liberals and then the Liberals can continue on with their policy of winning metropolitan votes rather then concerning themselves about the needs of a few farmers.
Who will stand against them? The Labor Party has been very quiet and I suppose it is only a matter of time before they bring a candidate out of retirement somewhere. Brush off the mothballs and reinvent them as a fighter for the working class. The problem there is the working class will have to work for a lot longer and maybe into their eighties paying taxes to cover all the blunders the federal Labor party has made wasting Billions of taxpayers funds.
I will be standing again for One Nation. I have over the last three years, since the last federal election, put forward One Nation's and my own beliefs on various matters including water infrastructure, an Australian ethanol industry, the retention of the single desk and the sellout of Australian primary producers. One Nation believes in the rights of Australians and wants to rebuild our country's manufacturing and primary industries. We will fight to retain our country's character and heritage and want all Australian children to be taught our true history and culture with an emphasis on our founding fathers. One Nation wants to build a unified Australia with equal rights for all and a fairer, more transparent system. It is time to give our country back to the people and remove the shackles of red tape and political correctness that is bringing it to its knees.
Our Governments Are Out To Destroy The Farmers 22/3/2010
Free trade and red tape are forcing thousands of farmers to walk off the land. The conditions that our primary producers face today have never been so negative. On top of a record drought, we are faced with growing food imports and insane policies which stifle growth and development. Policies like the Native Vegetation act which prevents farmers from clearing or working their land.
The Labor and Liberal parties have signed numerous treaties with foreign bureaucracies like the World Trade Organisation opening our borders to massive food imports. While our citrus growers plough oranges into the ground we are importing the same product from a third world country that does not have to pay the same wages or go through the same red tape to produce their product. Our pork industry has been decimated and we are even about to import apples from New Zealand which can carry a disease that could destroy our local industry. Now they are looking to import beef that could be carrying Mad Cow disease. This undetectable and dangerous disease could kill consumers in Australia but our government believes it is more important to appease our trading partners then consider the safety of its consumers.
Why are they making it so hard for our Primary producers? In 1975, the Whitlam Labor government signed what is known as the Lima Agreement. This treasonous document asked for developed nations to give away a large share of their agricultural and manufacturing industries to third world countries. To facilitate this both sides of government made it much harder for business to operate in this country. They removed tariffs, they over regulated, they increased excises and taxes. Companies started moving off shore and we started to import more and more goods.
Why are they doing this? Labor and Liberal are in love with the concept of a global government. The United Nations has been pushing for a global government for the last fifty years. They have set up numerous bureaucracies to achieve this goal. Australia has signed thousands of treaties with the UN each time handing a little more power away. Our politicians spend more time at UN sponsored meetings than they do running their own country. They are consistently worried about their image in the global community and have polices overruled by the UN and WTO regularly.
All the treaties that have been signed by the Labor and Liberal governments with the UN are illegal. Not only were the people not asked in the way of a referendum, but it is against our constitution to sign a treaty with a non government entity. One Nation plans to repeal all treaties that are not in the interest of Australia's sovereignty. We plan to take back Australia for Australians and re build our farming and manufacturing sectors.
Telling the Truth About The Greens 12/3/2010
I would like to congratulate Mr David Fletcher on his appointment as the new federal candidate for the Greens. As the leader of One Nation in the Riverina and I look forward to debating many an issue with him as I am sure the public knows that our ideologies are very different.
It is well known that while the Greens support the rights of minorities and foreign labour, One Nation supports the rights of Australians and Australian companies. One Nation does not believe in global warming, nor do we believe that Australian consumers or manufacturers should be taxed out of existence because of an unproven ideology. A lot of people mistakenly believe that the Greens are purely about the environment. I encourage those who are interested in politics to go to their party website and read their polices. The Greens support everything from same-sex marriages to giving criminals like Martin Bryant the vote.
At the same time visit One Nation's website and compare beliefs. I have found that many people who believe in Australia and protecting our children's future and way of life are very surprised at the range and depth of our policies and how they put Australians first.
So at election time, when it comes, you have a couple of options. A vote for Tthe Nationals is more of the same. A vote for The Greens is for a big move in the wrong direction and a vote for One Nation is a big slap in the face for Liberal and Labor saying to them they are not looking after the average Aussie and are selling us out.
Evaluating the Performance of The National Party 28/2/2010
While I believe there are some very good politicians in the Nationals, for example Barnaby Joyce, I have to ask farmers what have the Nationals done for our agricultural sector over the last thirty years? Siding with the Liberal Party on many issues, they have become like a trained pet, only crossing the floor on rare occasions to voice their dissatisfaction at policies that were to the detriment of rural voters.
If you look at the conditions faced by our farmers in 1980 and then compare them to now, you see a rapid decline. We are now faced with the situation where people are walking away from farms their families have owned for generations.
One Nation believe the problem lies in free trade. The Liberal party is a big supporter of free trade and the nationals, rather than fight for farmers on this issue, quietly toe the line. They are scared of fading into political oblivion if they do not stick with the Liberals.I say it is time for them to shed the shackles and have the fortitude to stand alone and support their constituents.
The free trade ideology is destroying our great country. Australia produces the highest quality produce in the world, so why do we need to import food? Beef which may be tainted with Mad Cow Disease; pork from Canada where there are disease problems as well; prawns from Vietnam grown in rivers of sewage, the list is endless. This madness has been brought about by our Governments signing foreign trade treaties.
We need tough import regulations and priority to be given to Australian made and grown goods. Tariffs need to be charged on imports from countries which receive agricultural subsidies, and all the treaties signed in the past to the detriment of our farmers need to be repealed. Red tape needs to be cut and infrastructure improved. One Nation stand for the rights of Australian producers and we are not afraid to stand up to any political party to fight for those rights.
Why Are The Greens Front Page News ? 28/7/2009
After reading the Daily Advertiser on Monday (27th of July), I must say I was quite surprised to find such a story making front page headlines. Anybody would be led to believe that the Greens are the dominant political party in this region, with such importance being placed on a meeting and the ranting of one of their State parliamentarians. Is it possible that one of the staff at the Daily Advertiser is a supporter of this political party as their beliefs and attitudes are published quite regularly, even more often than that of our sitting member Kay Hull.
To add insult to injury the subject was laughable, as they are criticising, in my opinion, one of the best policies to come out of the Labor Ggovernment in many a year. Any claim that planning and traffic chaos will be the result of a cash injection into the local economy, to combat the economic downturn and create jobs, is ludicrous.
If there is to be any finger pointing as to what is creating a surge in local population and a subsequent strain on services then the Rudd Government's immigration policy is to blame. Even in such tough economic conditions immigration has been increased by the Labor Federal Government, with tens of thousands of these new residents taking up residence in Sydney. From this situation you have a flow on with many metropolitan residents, making a "tree change", moving to regional centres like Wagga Wagga. I must state at this point in my letter that the Greens have an open door policy when it comes to immigration so they are part of the problem.
I believe that Labor for once has the right attitude as regional areas are in desperate need of infrastructure and any cash we can get for job creation is good. Any cash spent in these areas will help our local communities absorb the extra population. At the same time as our numbers increase so will the power of our vote so we can expect more money for council and essential services.
In summary: the Greens should be more positive instead of using scare tactics to try and swing a few votes their way, and maybe look at their immigration policy, as we are currently struggling to look after our current population without adding so many more mouths to feed.
Which Party is Divisive, One Nation or Labor ? 3/7/2009
During the 07 election Labor's Penny Wong described One Nation as a divisive and corrosive political party, stating that our policies divided the Australian public. If that is the case, just exactly what has Labor given us since they have come into power?
Labor has given us constant bickering about a carbon trading scheme, which I believe is being used to take the public's attention away from the real issues. Non existent water is being bought back from our producers. The single desk was axed and replaced with a deregulated system much like the one that has almost decimated our dairy industry, and the Labor party has, like its NSW counterparts, concentrated spending on metropolitan areas, aiming to buy votes with fanciful ideas like faster Internet. Furthermore hundreds of timber industry jobs have been sacrificed in Deniliquin because of a parrot.
One Nation was labelled as divisive because it wants to rebuild Australian manufacturing and agriculture, wants to spend more on tangible infrastructure like water, rail and health services and believes in putting the needs of our countrymen before all others.
What type of divisive behaviour would you prefer?
What Are Labor and Liberal Doing For Rural Australia ? 23/6/2009
Just what exactly is the Labor or Liberal Party's plan for the future direction of our great country? Apart from policies to win the favour of metropolitan voters there seems to be very little consideration being made for the future wealth and prosperity of rural Australia.
Farms and small business are disappearing at a startling rate, being pushed out through over regulation, red tape and lack of infrastructure such as roads, rail, water and health. The cost of doing business is spiralling upwards and more and more multinationals are invading us, decimating locally owned companies by flooding the market with cheap products.
At the same time our public and personal debt levels are amongst the highest in the world. The interest alone on our foreign debt is more than the next couple of generations can bear. We already pay one of the highest levels of tax in the developed world.
Our federal governments past and present on both sides of politics, have stepped back and let our country be invaded by every greedy multinational on the planet, all in the name of globalisation. free trade and deregulation. Most decisions are being made by advisers and an army of entrenched public servants who have no concept of the real world.
Other political parties have aligned themselves with the two major parties and are content to pick up the scraps to get a few smaller concession through for their constituents, but they never bite the hand that feeds them. Like cowardly dogs they bark a little when they don't agree with something then they skulk away when handed a small bone. The fact is the two party system is a sham.
One Nation has been warning of this for over 10 years. While the Labor and Liberal parties have been selling our country out we have been calling for the end of globalisation, The rebuilding of industry, our health system and regulation of our banks. We opposed the dismantling of the single desk and want money spent on real infrastructure like water and rail not rubbish like faster broadband.
We have been called racists and rednecks, have been accused of being out of touch and out of date and the media has tried to claim that we have ceased as a political party numerous times. The Labor and Liberal parties have tried every cheap political trick in the book to gag us, but we are still here and fighting hard.
As the new President for One Nation in the Riverina I ask you to take a look for yourself. look us up, have a look at our policies, and don't just believe what you have been told by somebody with a vested interest.
The Future of the Nationals 9/6/2009
At a time when our farmers and food producers are being decimated by drought, high fuel prices and a Government who, hell bent on free trade, is allowing us to be swamped by imported food, where is the so-called political party for the land, The Nationals? All is quiet, no policies, no leadership, just an echo of the Liberal Party.
Will they merge with the Liberals? Most likely. They have long ago given up the fight for rural Australia. Their silence has been bought.
Australia needs leadership and policies that are in the best interest of Australians - not the United Nations, not the World Trade Organisation, not even the World Bank. We need a government that stands for the future advancement of Australia for Australians. It is time for the voters of the Riverina to stop the rot and look at alternatives to the political parties they have voted for in the past. For surely we need to send a much stronger message to Canberra then the whimper we have made in the past.
The Single Desk for Wheat Farmers 5/6/2009
The decision by the Liberal party to cross the floor and vote with Labor on the abolition of the single desk, must be a real slap in the face for farmers already struggling with the drought. On top of this they have to compete with high fuel costs and a government who are slashing rural spending rather than building the much needed infrastructure to lower the costs associated with doing business in rural areas.
If there was ever a time for the Nationals to stand up to the Liberal party and split from the coalition, it is now. Sadly I can't see this happening.
As thousands of farmers go to the wall or just walk off their land, all those individuals who have voted for the Liberal or Labor parties should hang their heads in shame, as they have voted for two political parties whose heart does not belong to the Australian people but is controlled by the WTO and other foriegn powers. Free trade will be the destruction of our agriculture industry, just like it has been with manufacturing, in this country.
It is only a matter of time before Australia will be importing its wheat and wool instead of being a world leader in their production.
On Rudd's National Broadband Roll-Out 23/4/2009
After reading Jody Springett's editorial in the Daily Advertiser on Thursday ( April 23rd 2009) I just shook my head in disbelief.
While faster internet will be popular amongst city voters due to their preoccupation with the internet, rural people will only find a limited benefit to having faster internet.
Country people want jobs, we want better roads, and most of all our growers need water infrastructure. While not as glamorous as fast internet, the above issues are extremely important in helping this country recover from the current economic downturn.
Who really benefits from faster internet? That is an easy question to answer. The banks, larger corporations, all those monopolies out there who want to access the public's money faster. The public, yet again, will be the losers as no real gain in public wealth will be created from having access to this service.
But alas popular politics will win out over logic, and with a bribe in their pocket the public will follow like sheep to their own demise. We are becoming a country of wants and not fixing the things we need, trying to keep pace with other countries who themselves are in the same economic mess because of getting away from the basics.
The Global Economic Meltdown 1/4/2009
So Kevin Rudd thinks he has all the answers, jetting all over the world telling governments in Britain, the USA and Europe how to run their economies - promoting to foreign governments the idea of doing as he has done and spend up big, wasting billions of dollars in taxpayers money to try and hold off a global problem.
What has this knee jerk reaction achieved? Apart from billions of dollars of debt for our children and grandchildren to pay for, absolutely nothing. We will see a small bubble of work and consumer confidence form for a short time, only to burst as the tide of economic disaster that has formed in the USA sweep over us.
The reason why we cannot outrun this economic collapse is because our government as well as the previous Liberal government has been hell bent on supporting free trade and globalization. No decisions over the last 30 years have been made with Australia's interest at heart and countless illegal treaties have been signed taking away our sovereignty.
One Nation has been warning of this event for over 12 years. Scoffed at by the media at any chance and persecuted by both the Liberal and Labor party, we have been against free trade and the removal of tariffs. We have also protested about the collapse of our manufacturing industry and the demise of our farmers.
When will people in this country realise that the two party system in this country is not working and needs a real shake up? I predict that it won't happen until their own back pockets really start to hurt. Then and only then will people start to question things and look further for the truth beyond what they are told by the media.
Labor's Stupidity on Water Buy-back 29/5/2009
In an article in today's Daily Advertiser "Record Water Buy-up" our Federal Labor Party politicians are taking credit for spending $303,000,000 of taxpayers' money on buying back water from the Twynam Pastoral Company. The water purchased was stated not to be actual physical water but future possible flows that may flow down the river if they have rain.
This is Labor's water policy to help increase water flows in our river system to help environmental issues downstream - spend millions in taxpayers money to buy imaginary water. What brilliant mind came up with this great idea? What happens if it does not rain?
My question to the Labor Party: how much actual water has been purchased and returned to the river? Additional to this question it could also be asked, why are we buying water back from a private company when the water is the property of the Australian people?
Why not increase the cost of water and put restrictions on its use as they do in towns along the river? Further to this as I have stated many times why not increase flows with real water through diversions from up north? Over the last twelve months billions of litres of fresh water have flown out to sea, from rivers in northern NSW.
Like always our "over-educated idiot" politicians are more interested in being seen to be doing the right thing instead of using a little bit of grit and common sense, by making some real changes and building something vital for this countries future in the way of sustainable water infrastructure.
