Don't Blame Tri-Star Blame Free Trade

Don't blame Tri-star for what's happening to their workers, blame the policy of free trade. If it wasn't for having to compete with cheap imports, Tri-star wouldn't have to move their  operations overseas and sack their staff.

It is typical  of the bias of the media  who slavishly promote globalism that not one commentator  has pointed this out.

The brouhaha about the redundancy payments being saved by public outcry and the intervention of "GST Joe"  Hockey has been a smokescreen  to distract attention from the real issues.

Tri-star was once TRW, and before that it was Duly and Hansford and they provided real employemnt, skilled jobs and apprenticeships for generations of Australians, in the days when we protected our manufacturing industries.

No company can compete with cheap labour and if you refuse to have import tariffs,  manufacturing in Australia will disappear, as will most of our primary production, and Australia  will become the quarry of the world.

Australian workers must learn to look beyond  sensational headlines and consider what parties have the pro-Australian, protectionist  policies that will guarantee that episodes such as  the Tri-star debacle won't happen. Try One Nation!
